Product Overview

Jaguar E-Pace (chassis code X540) is a compact crossover in production from 2018 to 2020, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 2.0 liters.
Unlike its bigger brother, the F-Pace, the E-Pace is notably more austere. It can be considered a variant of the Range Rover Evoque, which itself is an excuse of a crossover sold as "SUV".
Still, utility-minded owners will love the 2577L (91cu-ft) cargo space. It is also much cheaper to acquire than the F-Pace or other bigger crossovers, though its price tag may not correspond with the quality that one is getting.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Jaguar E-Pace uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.

Reviewer score 51% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
The E-Pace’s low-speed ride is firmer and marginally less isolating than the SUV norm, though less fussy on 18in wheels than we’ve found it with 19- and 20in rims. Perceived quality is a bit mixed, with parts of the dashboard looking and feeling quite expensive, but others – the imitation-leather slush-moulded rolltop pad, the plain, slightly wobbly mouldings around the steering column, and some of the ‘plasticised’ matt black switchgear.
Pros
  • Well-judged handling
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Pricier than rivals
  • Tractive steering
