Product Overview

Mini Countryman R60 is a subcompact crossover in production from 2010 to 2014, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.6 to 2.0 liters.
Essentially a fattened R56 Mini Hatch with a generous amount of black plastic "makeup", the Countryman is ungainly and poorly put together. Unfortunately, it used a range of horrible engines from Peugeot and BMW, all of which long proven unreliable. The N47 diesel engine in particular has premature timing chain wear issues that require frequent camshaft replacements.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Mini Countryman uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
