Product Overview

Mini Paceman (chassis code R61) is a subcompact crossover in production from 2013 to 2016. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.6 to 2.0 liters.
Sharing much of the same drivetrain with the Mini Hatch R56 and more closely the R60 Countryman, the Paceman halfway between the two. It could also be considered a smaller, 3-door Countryman.
From some angles, the Paceman is rather ugly: It's just about a fatter hatchback, and it certainly has no hope of going offroad at all. The nasty black plastic just makes the car look ridiculous. However, it is also rather cute. One could argue that it is interesting and iconic.
Unfortunately, the engines that BMW put into the R61 Paceman have been disastrous. The N18 petrol and N47 diesel have both been proven unreliable with lots of head and block issues (i.e. not your average gremlins).
