Product Overview

Land Rover Range Rover Evoque (chassis code L538) is a subcompact crossover in production from 2012 to 2018. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 2.0 to 2.2 liters.
Another attempt by Land Rover to milk the Range Rover brand name, the company released this jacked-up hatchback masquerading as some sort of "SUV" in what could be construed as false advertising. The uglified vehicle, though with large wheels, has limited offroad capabilities.
Unfortunately, this generation of RR Evoque suffers from a range of drivetrain-related issues. The 9-speed ZF 9HP automatic transmission introduced alongside the minor facelift has proven glitchy and problematic. The engines, while largely reliable, are not refined and don't deserve the RR marque.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
