Product Overview

Mazda 6 Wagon (chassis code GG1) is an affordable mid-size station wagon in production from 2002 to 2005, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.8 to 2.3 liters.
Even though at this point Mazda was still perceived as a tier lower than Toyota and Honda, the Mazda 6 launched the brand to a level comparable to Nissan in many ways. The vehicle had a grown-up, elegant design (that reminds us of some Alfa Romeos of the period) with a range of economical, reliable, and easy-to-DIY engines.
Moreover, Mazda endowed this affordable vehicle with double-wishbone front suspensions plus multi-link rears. This made it very appealing to enthusiasts while improving comfort.
