Product Overview

Ford Escape 2 is an affordable compact crossover in production from 2008 to 2012. It was available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 2.3 to 3.0 liters.
Compared to the Gen1 Ford Escape, the Gen2 Escape has a boxier styling that conveys more sturdiness. From many angles, it almost looks like an SUV.
The Escape 2 was available with a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed auto, or an eCVT (hybrid only) transmission. It was also sold as Mazda Tribute or Mercury Mariner in certain markets.
