Lexus IS SportCross (chassis code XE10) is a compact executive station wagon in production from 2001 to 2005. It was available with two inline-6 engines that displaced 2.0 and 3.0 liters.
One of the last of the greats from 1990s Japan, the IS SportCross was available with the legendary 2JZ-GE engine, though 6-speed manual transmission with this engine had limited availability. The 5-speed automatic was another legend, the Aisin A650E, which is exceptionally durable and smooth.
As usual for the time, the IS SportCross is RWD only. It used double-wishbone suspensions all around. This provides the good cornering performance and durability, though multi-link tends to be more tunable.
