Product Overview

Volvo V70 III facelift is an executive station wagon in production from 2013 to 2016. It was available with a range of inline-4, inline-5, and inline-6 engines that displaced 1.6 to 3.0 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift model, the main differences can be found around the front and rear fasciae as well as the skirts of the vehicle. Naturally, interior and infotainment system were also brought up to date.
Powertrain-wise, Volvo up-rated many engines. The rich set of I4, I5, and I6 engines, including the rather interesting T6 and D5 units, continued to be available.

Reviewer score 55% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
The V70 hails from an era just before someone in Volvo's marketing department decided to tackle the Teutonic foe with a faux-dynamic manifesto. As a result, the V40, S60 and V60 all suffer from a knobbly, stiff ride. The V70 doesn't. It's no driver's car, and doesn't even play-act the role. The cabin remains exceptionally quiet until wind noise invades the ambience at a fast motorway cruise. For the most part this is a supremely refined car that belies its age.
Pros
  • Sleek, refined interior
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Wobbly ride
  • Lacklustre automatic gearbox
