Product Overview

Volvo V70 Mark 2 is a compact executive station wagon in production from 2000 to 2004, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-5 engines that displaced 2.0 to 2.5 liters.
In the automotive history, few passenger vehicles ever came with an inline-5 engine. The Gen2 V70 had over half a dozen engines, and all of them are I5s; this makes the V70 a rather unique vehicle (though the Gen1 V70 had the same setup.
From many angles, the V70 was a looker, though the use of black plastic did not age well.
Drivers should keep in mind that the Gen2 V70 used MacPherson strut front suspensions, which don't provide the best mix of comfort and handling.
