Product Overview

Subaru Outback 5 (chassis code BS) is a mid-size crossover in production from 2014 to 2020. It was available with a range of flat-4 and flat-6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.6 liters.
Compared to the Gen4 Outback, which was when Subaru finally finished the Outback's transition from a station wagon to a crossover, the Outback 5 looked more comfortable in its own skin. Even though few crossovers ever looked good, the BS Outback certainly does not offend.
A large part of the reason that drivers check out the Outback is perhaps the flat-6 (H6) engine, which has very low center of gravity, instant power response, and perfect smoothness. It should be noted that the H6 engine is not a true "boxer" engine, as the opposing cylinders share the same crank pin.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, will appreciate the good approach, departure, and breakover angles that the chassis offers. Utility-minded owners will love the 2076L (73cu-ft) cargo space. The Subaru Outback V also comes with a high towing capacity.
