Product Overview

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate S203 is a compact executive station wagon in production from 2001 to 2004, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-4, inline-5, and V6 engines that displaced 1.8 to 3.2 liters.
Whereas the S211 E-Class Estate of the same period had a rather elegant design, the smaller S203 C-Class Estate appears more cramped: the same design language apparently did not translate as well here.
A wide range of engines were offered, though the V8 from the S202 AMG models were replaced, to a cold audience, with a couple of smaller engines, a supercharged V6 petrol and an I5 diesel. The diesel one is arguably the worst AMG engine to have ever existed.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the S203 C-class Estate uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
