Product Overview

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate S211 facelift is an executive station wagon in production from 2005 to 2009. It was available with a range of V6, V8, and inline-4 engines that displaced 1.8 to 6.2 liters.
At the point of this facelift, Mercedes already discontinued inline-6 engines. Along with it, the venerable M113K supercharged V8 was dropped, too. In its place, Mercedes introduced another legend, the M156 naturally-aspirated 6.2L V8. This is the first engine developed from the ground up by AMG and features many high-performance elements. Unfortunately, it suffers from premature cam wear and broken head bolts.
Another change is the introduction of 7-speed 7G-Tronic automatic transmission. Unfortunately, this transmission was very troublesome at launch and never quite caught up to the 5G-Tronic in terms of smoothness and reliability.
