Product Overview

Peugeot 508 is a mid-size sedan in production from 2010 to 2014, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.6 to 2.2 liters.
The 508 is essentially Peugeot's version of Citroen C5 II. Indeed, the two look so similar that it is difficult to tell them apart on the road at times. Still, the Peugeot model was never endowed with a V6 and instead used lesser engines, chiefly of the diesel variation.
Another key difference is that Peugeot used MacPherson strut front suspensions, which is cheaper than the double-wishbone variant found in the C5 II. Obviously, hydraulic suspension is out of the question.

Reviewer score 53% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Peugeot 508 measures-up at 4,830mm long, 1,853mm wide and 1,456mm tall. There's a decent amount of space, with plenty of room in the front, and the seats are comfortable for extended periods. Visibility is good thanks to slim windscreen pillars, and a useful rear view camera is standard on all but the entry model.
Pros
  • Cheap to buy
  • Excellent infotainment system
  • Decent range
Cons
  • Poor battery life
  • No automatic emergency braking
