Product Overview

Jaguar X-Type (chassis code X400) is a compact executive sedan in production from 2001 to 2009. It was available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.0 liters.
Built on the Ford CD132 platform, the X-Type was related to the Ford Mondeo. However, all the body panels are distinct, with the X-Type carrying a classic British flair that instantly impresses.
The three petrol engines available are all naturally-aspirated V6s in the Jaguar AJ family. This engine design, based on Ford's Duratec V6, features VVT and fracture-split forged connecting rods.
The two diesel I4s are straight-up Ford engines.
The X-Type used MacPherson strut front suspension with multi-link rears. This provides good compromise between handling and cost.
