Product Overview

Alpina B10 (chassis code E39) is a high-performance executive sedan in production from 1998 to 2003. It was available with a range of inline-6 and V8 engines that displaced 3.2 to 4.8 liters.
At launch, the E39 B10 came with modified BMW M52 I6 and M62 V8 engines, essentially basing the car on BMW's 530i and 540i respectively. It should be noted that the 3.2L and 4.6L displacements are, naturally, bored from the stock form.
Later, Alpina further enlarged the I6 to 3.3L, while the update M62TU engine was bored to the same 4.6L.
Towards the end of the production run, Alpina further increased the stroke of the V8, resulting in the final form of E39 B10 with 4.8L of displacement.
Manual was available with the I6 models, while automatic was standard.
