Product Overview

Hyundai Equus / Centennial 2 (chassis code VI) is a full-size luxury sedan in production from 2009 to 2013, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of V6 and V8 engines that displaced 3.8 to 5.0 liters.
Compared to the original Equus, the Mark 2 model received a more coherent exterior design, though which bears some uncanny resemblance to the Lexus LS XF40. The powertrain is greatly upgraded, with a new 8-speed automatic transmission and two 5.0L naturally-aspirated V8s (one port-injected and one direct-injected) available.
Fortunately, Hyundai has not ventured into the diesel, hybrid, or AWD nonsense for this vehicle.
A LWB model, however, was available in select regions.
Hyundai has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.27 coefficient of drag to show for it.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Equus 2 comes with multi-link suspensions at all four corners. This provides the best cornering performance and tunability, at the expense of cost and a little bit of durability.
