Product Overview

Hyundai Grandeur 3 (chassis code XG) is an affordable mid-size sedan in production from 1998 to 2002, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of V6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.5 liters.
Compared to the more basic Sonata, the Grandeur XG has, as its name suggests, more presence and higher equipment levels. While its engines do not stand out, the mere fact that Hyundai kept them V6-only shows that it is meant for a more meticulous market segment.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Grandeur 3 (XG) comes with double-wishbone and multi-link suspensions. While unusual for a FWD vehicle, this setup offers superior handling characteristics than a normal strut setup.
