Product Overview

Hyundai Sonata 7 (chassis code LF) facelift is an affordable mid-size sedan in production from 2018 to 2019. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 2.0 to 2.4 liters.
Even though it was merely a facelift, the new model is rather distinct from the pre-facelift Sonata: New 7-speed DCT and 8-speed automatic transmissions were added to the lineup, and the front and rear of the vehicle received sweeping redesign.
Notably, Hyundai gave the facelift Gen7 Sonata a giant grille, undoubtedly following the lead of all other manufacturers in the competition for the biggest nostril award.
Unsurprisingly, the car has now a 0.27 coefficient of drag, a big increase from the 0.24 in the pre-facelift model.
Hyundai didn't improve the suspension, however, which remained stuck with MacPherson struts.
