Product Overview

Audi RS 3 (Typ 8V) is a compact sports sedan in production from 2017 to 2020, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a single turbocharged inline-5 engine that displaced 2.5 liters.
Interestingly, the RS 3 is the first Audi to sport an inline-5 engine in two decades, even though I5 used to be its bread-and-butter. Even though this is just another step in VAG's downsizing effort, the 2.5 TFSI is undeniably a wonderful powerplant. A single 7-speed DCT is standard, and power is sent to all four wheels.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the RS 3 stills uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
Audi’s smallest RS model now offers 395bhp from its 2.5-litre turbocharged in-line five-cylinder engine. It sends that power to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. A clever new RS Torque Splitter is the biggest change in specification over its predecessor. This new differential features one electronically controlled clutch for each rear half shaft, sending more drive torque to the outer wheel in corners.

  • Stupendous all-weather performance
