Product Overview

Kia Rio 2 (code JB) is an affordable subcompact sedan in production from 2005 to 2009. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.4 to 1.6 liters.
While Kia has come a long way with its current offerings, the Rio from just over a decade ago was poorly designed and appointed. The engines were small and underpowered, and things got worse with the 4-speed automatic.
Utility-minded owners will have to keep in mind that the cargo space may not be sufficient.
Some advantages of the car include the small 9.8m (32.1ft) turning circle and the small footprint (if used as a city car).
