Product Overview

Kia Optima / Magentis 2 (code MG) is an affordable mid-size sedan in production from 2005 to 2008, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 2.7 liters.
Compared to the Gen1 Optima, the newer model had a whole range of updates to bring it to the 21st century. Still, Kia was lagging behind in terms of engine output, transmission choices, suspension design, and safety ratings.
On the plus side, the vehicle became notably more spacious inside.
