Product Overview

Ford Mondeo 2 is an affordable mid-size sedan in production from 2001 to 2007. It is available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 1.8 to 3.0 liters.
Overall, the Gen2 Mondeo was reliable and easy to DIY on, though it suffered from Detroit's least caring days and as a result appeared to be a high-school marketing exercise. It looked fine on paper, but upon closer inspection a lot fell short.
The good news is that many were made and sold, and they can still be found used at good prices: and they were generally easy to fix and to keep on the road.
