Product Overview

BMW 3 Series E90 is a compact executive sedan in production from 2005 to 2008, whereupon it received a facelift. It is available with a range of inline-4 and inline-6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.0 liters.
Owners will likely appreciate the most the N52 (and in select regions, N53) naturally-aspirated inline-6 (I6) engine. This is arguably the most advanced NA I6 engine ever introduced in the automotive industry, thanks to its magnesium-aluminum alloy block and Valvetronic. It is arguably the last reliable BMW petrol I6 engine and is certainly more DIY-able than the direct-injected, turbocharged engines that came after it.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the E90 uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
