Mazda 6 / Atenza (GG1) facelift is a large sports sedan in production from 2005 to 2008. It is available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.8 to 2.3 liters.
While cosmetic changes in the update were not drastic, Mazda did use this opportunity to introduce the Mazdaspeed6 version (also known as Mazda6 MPS) of the vehicle with a 2.3L turbocharged I4 engine and AWD.
Otherwise, the facelift model retained much of the characteristics and drivetrain options from pre-facelift, including a good towing capacity and a functional interior.
