Mazda 6 / Atenza (code GG1) is a mid-size sports sedan in production from 2002 to 2005, whereupon it received a facelift. It is available with a range of inline-4 petrol and diesel engines that displaced 1.8 to 2.3 liters.
What attracted buyers were the vehicle's elegant yet sporty design, though in terms of handling and car's suspension setup is decidedly budget-oriented. There is also no powerful engine option: indeed, at its launch, the inline-4-exclusive lineup was barely adequate
The Gen1 Mazda 6 also comes with a high towing capacity.
