Product Overview

Subaru Legacy 4 (BL) is an affordable mid-size sedan in production from 2003 to 2006, whereupon it received a facelift. It is available with a range of flat-4 and flat-6 engines that displaced 2.0L to 3.0L.
A large part of the reason that owners purchase the Subaru Legacy IV is probably the flat-6 (H6) engine found in the 3.0R, which has very low center of gravity, instant power response, and perfect smoothness. It should be noted that the H6 engine is not a true "boxer" engine, as the opposing cylinders share the same crank pin.
As usual for Subaru, the Gen4 Legacy retains the flat-engine + symmetric AWD setup (which was later copied by Audi). The car, despite being reasonably roomy, is rather lightweight.
