Product Overview

Subaru Impreza III (code GE) is an affordable compact sports sedan in production from 2008 to 2011. It is available with a range of flat-4 engine that displaced 1.5L to 2.5L.
Compared to the 2nd-gen Impreza, the Gen3 model is an evolution rather than revolution. The engines received some further uprating, but the general formula has been kept: On the one hand, the symmetric AWD and flat-4 combo left the vehicle with a lot of weight over the front axle; on the other hand, the lower center of gravity of the engine, combined with the powerful AWD system, allowed the Impreza to handle a lot better than one would expect.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Subaru Impreza III Sedan uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
Regrettably, the automatic models retained the old 4-speed unit.
