Product Overview

Subaru Impreza II (code GD series) facelift is an affordable compact sedan in production from 2002 to 2005, whereupon it received the second facelift. It is available with a range of flat-4 engine options that displaced 2.0L to 2.5L.
Compared to the pre-facelift model, the car became more aggressive. New is the WRX STI sedan, which offered a notable power bump and came with a 6-speed manual transmission. To enthusiasts today, this was one of the "modern classics".
Like the pre-facelift model, the facelift Impreza Gen2 still combines the flat-4 engine with symmetric AWD. On the one hand, this left the vehicle with a lot of weight over the front axle; on the other hand, the lower center of gravity of the engine, combined with the powerful AWD system, allowed the Impreza to handle a lot better than one would expect.
