Product Overview

Subaru Impreza II (code GD series) is an affordable compact sedan in production from 2000 to 2002, whereupon it received a facelift. It is available with a range of flat-4 engines that displaced from 1.6L to 2.0L.
Signature to the Subaru formula, the Gen2 Impreza all had flat-4 engines with symmetric AWD. On the one hand, this left the vehicle with a lot of weight over the front axle; on the other hand, the lower center of gravity of the engine, combined with the powerful AWD system, allowed the Impreza to handle a lot better than one would expect. The turbocharged WRX was certainly the most loved model.
