Product Overview
Olympus PEN E-P7 is an affordable mirrorless camera in the Micro Four Thirds-mount system. Introduced by Olympus in 2021, it comes with a micro four thirds sensor with 20 MP (5184 x 3888) resolution.
The camera has a usable battery life, though a second battery may be a good thing to keep in your camera bag. One should note that the Olympus PEN E-P7 has a 200 base ISO, which is not conducive to getting the cleanest images.
The Olympus PEN E-P7 comes with 121 autofocus points. Those who intend to use the Olympus PEN E-P7 for video work will be glad to find that the camera comes with 4.5 stops of IBIS.

Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)The E-P7 puts in a very solid performance and produces some lovely images. It captures shots with an impressive dynamic range, while the all-purpose metering system does a good job of producing balanced exposures. The lack of a headphone and microphone socket, and the fact that the screen tilts from the bottom, don't make it as appealing as other video-orientated cameras like the Sony ZV-1.
Pros
- Very good image quality
- Great range of optics
- Good battery life
Cons
- Screen tilts from bottom
- No headphone or microphone socket
