Sigma 14-24mm F2.8 DG HSM | Art is an ultra wide-angle zoom lens for Canon EF-mount, Nikon F-mount, and Sigma SA-mount. It covers the full-frame image circle. Introduced by Sigma in 2018, it has 17 elements in 11 groups.
Like most zoom lenses, the Sigma 14-24mm F2.8 DG HSM is externally-zooming. For incremental weathers, Sigma is kind enough to include weather sealing.
The f/2.8 maximum aperture is quite bright for an ultra wide-angle zoom lens and can be quite valuable for night and astro photography. During daytime, it can offer a unique perspective for landscape photography as well. Even though the lens is not stabilized, at this focal range it does not usually matter. In fact, some may be able to get cleaner corners without image stabilization.
Some photographers may be disappointed by the fact that the lens does not accept front screw-on filters.
