Product Overview

Sigma 12-24mm F4 DG HSM Art is an ultra wide-angle zoom lens for Canon EF-mount, Nikon F-mount, and Sigma SA-mount. It covers the full-frame image circle. Introduced by Sigma in 2016, it has 16 elements in 11 groups.
Like most zoom lenses, the Sigma 12-24mm F4 DG HSM Art is externally-zooming. For incremental weathers, Sigma is kind enough to include weather sealing.
As an ultra wide-angle lens, this zoom can offer a unique perspective that many will appreciate. Even though the lens is not stabilized, at this focal range it does not usually matter. In fact, some may be able to get cleaner corners without image stabilization.
Some photographers may be disappointed by the fact that the lens does not accept front screw-on filters.

The Sigma 12-24mm F4 DG HSM Art was first announced September 16th, 2016. This is Sigma's widest zoom lens offering to date and joins Sigma's growing list of Art lenses. The lens is priced at just under $1600, which makes it a fierce competitor to Canon's EF 11-24m F4L USM lens. The Sigma is available in Canon, Nikon F (FX) and Sigma SA Bayonet mounts.
