Product Overview

Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG HSM Art is a large-aperture wide-angle prime lens for Canon EF-mount, Nikon F-mount, Pentax K-mount, Sigma SA-mount, Sony A-mount, Sony E-mount, and Leica L-mount. It covers the full-frame image circle. Introduced by Sigma in 2012, it has 13 elements in 11 groups.
Unfortunately, Sigma has opted to omit weather sealing for this lens, so owners should pay extra attention when shooting in incremental weathers.
The bright maximum aperture for a wide-angle lens is appreciated for night and astro photography, though some may prefer the perspective of an ultra wide-angle lens for this. Even though the lens is not stabilized, at this focal range it does not usually matter. In fact, some may be able to get cleaner corners without image stabilization.
