Product Overview

Tamron SP 15-30mm F2.8 Di VC USD G2 is an ultra wide-angle zoom lens for Canon EF-mount and Nikon F-mount. It covers the full-frame image circle. Introduced by Tamron in 2018, it has 18 elements in 13 groups.
Like most zoom lenses, the Tamron SP 15-30mm F2.8 Di VC USD G2 is externally-zooming. For incremental weathers, Tamron is kind enough to include weather sealing.
The f/2.8 maximum aperture is quite bright for an ultra wide-angle zoom lens and can be quite valuable for night photography. During daytime, it can offer a unique perspective for landscape photography as well. The built-in image stabilization can be useful for some handheld video work, though one should pay special attention to the corners, which may actually be worse off with the stabilization turned on.
Some photographers may be disappointed by the fact that the lens does not accept front screw-on filters.
