Product Overview

Canon EF 11-24mm F4L USM is an ultra wide-angle zoom lens for Canon EF-mount. It covers the full-frame image circle. Introduced by Canon in 2015, it has 16 elements in 11 groups.
Photographers will be pleased by the fact that the lens is internally-zooming, meaning that the barrel does not extend when the focal length is changed. This helps balance and weather sealing; it is also great for long-term durability, as there is less chance for moisture and dirt to get in. For incremental weathers, Canon is kind enough to include weather sealing.
As an ultra wide-angle lens, this zoom can offer a unique perspective that many will appreciate. Even though the lens is not stabilized, at this focal range it does not usually matter. In fact, some may be able to get cleaner corners without image stabilization.
Some photographers may be disappointed by the fact that the lens does not accept front screw-on filters.

Reviewer score 92% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cameralabs have found:
Canon's EF 11-24mm f4L USM is one of the most exciting lenses in the EF catalogue. It delivers wide to extremely wide coverage with impressively sharp details and minimal distortion across the framer and throughout the range. Sure there's some coloured fringing and vignetting, but both are easily corrected digitally (whether on in-camera JPEGs or RAW later)
Pros
  • Wide to extremely wide coverage
  • Impressive sharpness
  • Excellent image quality
Cons
  • Vignetting and fringing
  • Not as sharp as in-camera JPEG
