Sony FE PZ 28-135mm F4 G OSS

Product Overview
Sony FE PZ 28-135mm F4 G OSS is a standard zoom lens for Sony E-mount specifically designed for videography. It covers the full-frame image circle. Introduced by Sony in 2014, it has 18 elements in 12 groups.
Photographers will be pleased by the fact that the lens is internally-zooming, meaning that the barrel does not extend when the focal length is changed. This helps balance and weather sealing; it is also great for long-term durability, as there is less chance for moisture and dirt to get in. Sony has endowed it with power zoom feature, which can be quite useful for videography, but which makes the lens less suitable for stills work (with the unnecessary weight and complexity). For incremental weathers, Sony is kind enough to include weather sealing. On the lens barrel, one can find a physical aperture ring. Those who wish to focus manually can have the best of both worlds (with the usual caveats).
The lens is also stabilized, making it even easier to use for videos and stills alike.

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)Most Zoom lenses for stills cameras do not keep their focus when zoomed. For Video people often use manual focusing. The FE PZ 28-135 F4 G OSS has all that is required for a cine lens. For 4K where in fact only 8 Mpix are used it is very good. Distorsion and Lens fall off can’t be corrected easily for video.
