A rarity for rangefinder cameras, the Macro-Elmar-M 90mm F4 has a collapsible design, which makes it exceptionally compact in storage. It is to be used with Leica's macro adapter, with which it can achieve 1:2 reproduction ratio.
A telephoto prime lens with relatively dark maximum aperture, it is best used for portrait and landscape photography. Those who like sunstars (sun bursts) will be pleased by the lens' even-numbered aperture count, though conversely those who find sunstars distracting may have the opposite feeling.
