Leica Summarit-M 50mm F2.4 ASPH is a manual-focus normal prime lens for Leica M-mount. It covers the Full-Frame image circle. Introduced by Leica in 2014, it has 6 elements in 4 groups.
Manual focus may be limiting to some, but purists will find it much more engaging. There are also fewer things to go wrong on the long run. Unfortunately, Leica has opted to omit weather sealing for this lens, so owners should pay extra attention when shooting in incremental weathers.
