TCL S535 is a premium 4K QLED TV in TCL's 2020 lineup. It is powered by a 10-bit VA panel and available in 50", 55", 65", and 75" size classes.

A highlight of the TCL S535 is a high screen-to-body ratio up to 96.21%. Additionally, it supports full-array LED local-dimming. With mini-LEDs, full-array LED dimming helps the panel achieve higher contrast and dynamic range. It supports HDR formats including HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), and Dolby Vision. It covers 94% of DCI-P3 color space, which is excellent news for those who appreciate color accuracy. It performs exceptionally in delivering contrast.

The TCL 5-Series is a great all-purpose TV that serves those who aren't picky about HDR performance very well. The TV's use of quantum dots expands the color gamut for a rich picture. Solid full-array backlight control provides better black levels and better-reduced halo effects than nearly any other TV in its price class.

The TCL 5 Series 2020 is impressive for watching movies. It has an exceptional contrast ratio, displaying deep blacks. This TV upscales 1080p content without any issues and it removes 24p judder from any source, which is rare for a 60Hz TV. Sadly, because it has a quick response time, lower-frame rate content may appear to stutter at times.

The TCL 5-Series is one of the best TVs for 4K gaming, provided you don't care about ultra-high frame rates. The remote control is a run-of-the-mill Roku remote for TVs. Apple iPhone owners will be pleased to learn that they can share videos, photos, and music using AirPlay.
