Product Overview

Hisense H8G is a premium 4K ULED TV in Hisense's 2020 lineup. It is powered by a 10-bit VA panel and available in 50", 55", 65", and 75" size classes.
Some highlights of the Hisense H8G include a high screen-to-body ratio up to 95.17% and high brightness. Additionally, it supports full-array LED local-dimming. Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The Hisense H8G is an impressive TV, especially for the price. The blacks are deep, the colors vibrant, and HDR material is enjoyable to watch. The TV looks vivid in a room filled with daylight and looks even better in a dark room for movie night. Hisense offers a one-year parts-and-labor warranty on the Hisense Quantum.
    Pros
    • Excellent picture quality
    • High-quality build quality
    • Excellent color accuracy
    Cons
    • Color could use some work

The Hisense 65H8G is a Quantum Dot TV that uses Hisense's ULED technology. It delivers 4K (3,840-by-2,160-pixel) video with a 240Hz motion rate and 90-zone full array local dimming. The H8G also supports Google Cast, which allows you to stream video and other content from your mobile device to the TV.
    Pros
    • Solid color and contrast performance
    • Supports Google Cast and Google Cast
    • Local dimming
    Cons
    • Some light bloom on the 65H8G

Reviewer score 48% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Hisense H8G is a very good TV for most uses. It's great for watching movies in dark rooms thanks to its excellent contrast ratio and full-array local dimming feature. 1080p content is upscaled almost as good as native 4k content. Sadly, the TV has some uniformity issues as there's a bit of dirty screen effect in the center.
    Pros
    • Excellent contrast ratio and full-array local dimming feature
    • Good response time and very low input lag for gaming
    • Decent reflection handling
    • Great HDR performance
    Cons
    • Dirty screen effect visible in the center
    • Doesn't have wide viewing angles

    techradar[4]

    Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Hisense H8G uses Dolby Vision HDR and what Hisense calls Quantum Dot Wide Color Gamut. MotionRate 240 - an industry term that improves on the 60 Hz refresh rate. Brightness is limited to 700 nits, which is not as high as the latest Samsung and LG models but is respectable for the price.
    Pros
    • Bright, colorful images
    • Built-in sound
    • Easy to use
    Cons
    • Slow motion
    • No surround sound

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from tomsguide have found:
The Hisense H8G Quantum Series is a competitively-priced Android TV with premium sound. The set comes with Google Assistant built in to the remote, so you can ask it to search content, get a weather report and benefit from all the other best Google Assistant commands. While it's useful to beckon Netflix, YouTube or a virtual butler with a single press, the lack of back-lighting makes navigating the remote difficult in the dark.
    Pros
    • Sleek design
    • Dolby Atmos sound signature
    • Google Assistant built in
    Cons
    • Lacks backlighting
    • Lacks Google Assistant and streaming buttons
