Product Overview

Samsung Q950R is a flagship 8K QLED TV in Samsung's 2019 lineup. It is powered by a 10-bit QLED panel and available in 55", 65", 75", 82", and 98" size classes.
Some highlights of the Samsung Q950R include a high screen-to-body ratio up to 96.10% and high brightness. Additionally, it supports full-array LED local-dimming. With mini-LEDs, full-array LED dimming helps the panel achieve higher contrast and dynamic range. It supports HDR formats including HDR10, HDR10+, HDR 4000, and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma). It covers 100% of DCI-P3 color space, which is excellent news for those who appreciate color accuracy. It performs exceptionally in delivering contrast. Owners who consider using this TV for gaming will be pleased to learn that it supports AMD FreeSync in terms of variable framerate.

    Reviewers from techradar have found:
The Samsung Q950 represents a significant step forward, not only in terms of 8K TVs but also when it comes to delivering HDR. The HDR performance is simply the best we have ever seen, justifying the purchase of this 8K TV even in absence of any native content. The sound quality of the Q950 is particularly impressive, no doubt thanks to the size of the screen and the direct LED backlight allowing for a deeper panel. The Q950 doesn't support Dolby Atmos processing, but it's debatable how much of an object-based and immersive experience a TV really can deliver.
