Product Overview
Philips 243B1 is an affordable 24-inch FHD monitor designed for business use in Philips's 2019 lineup. It is powered by a basic 8-bit IPS panel with good color reproduction.
The included stand comes with tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments that make for a more ergonomic viewing experience. Additionally, this monitor can get quite contrasty. It also comes with build-in speakers that make media consumption in a pinch an effortless experience.
In terms of drawbacks, this monitor lacks HDR support and is not very bright. Further, the 8-bit panel is rather limiting in terms of color reproduction.

External Reviews
t3[1]
Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)Philips 243B1JH has a USB 3.2 hub that supports fast charging for your phone or tablet. USB-C connectivity means you can connect a laptop over a single cable. A proximity sensor cuts the juice when it detects you've wandered off, boosting the screen's green credentials. Image quality is excellent, with a viewing angle of 178° and 105% of the sRGB gamut.
Pros
- Excellent image quality
- USB Type-C connectivity
- USB 3.2 hub
Cons
- No webcam
techadvisor[2]
Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Philips 243B1 is a workman-like solution to the typical office requirement. It provides plenty of employee-friendly features at a price that most businesses would accept. IPS technology in this panel isn't anything special, although it offers decent viewing angles and its reasonably colourful. The weakness of this design is a below optimal contrast and variance in the luminosity across the panel.
Pros
- Highly ergonomic design
- Good value for money
Cons
- Below-average contrast
