Product Overview

Philips 245B1 is an affordable 24-inch QHD monitor designed for business use in Philips's 2020 lineup. It is powered by a basic 8-bit IPS panel with good color reproduction.
The included stand comes with tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments that make for a more ergonomic viewing experience. Additionally, this monitor can get quite contrasty. It also comes with build-in speakers that make media consumption in a pinch an effortless experience.
In terms of drawbacks, this monitor lacks HDR support and is not very bright. Further, the 8-bit panel is rather limiting in terms of color reproduction.

The Philips 245B1 has a 24-inch (23.8-inch to be precise) IPS panel with 2,560 by 1,440 pixels. The panel is an 8-bit item with dithering to achieve 10-bit per channel color. It offers 116 per cent coverage of the sRGB gamut but doesn't quote Adobe RGB or DCI-P3 coverage, indicating that this isn't a display aimed at pro content creators.

Cons
  • No USB Type-C
