Product Overview

ViewSonic XG270 is a mainstream 27-inch FHD gaming monitor in ViewSonic's 2019 lineup. It is powered by a basic 8-bit IPS panel with 240 Hz refresh rate.
The included stand comes with tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments that make for a more ergonomic viewing experience. With a fast 1 ms response time, this display is a good gaming option. Additionally, this monitor can get quite contrasty. It also comes with build-in speakers that make media consumption in a pinch an effortless experience.
In terms of drawbacks, this monitor lacks HDR support. Further, the 8-bit panel is rather limiting in terms of color reproduction.

laptopmag[1]

Reviewer score 87% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The ViewSonic Elite XG270 has a 27-inch display with a 240Hz refresh rate. At 1080p, the screen is sharp enough to show details in the panels clamped onto Natasha Romanoff's suit of armor. The drums were incredibly light on bass, and when the chorus hit, all of the instruments muddled together into one audio glob.
Pros
  • Bright 240Hz refresh rate panel
  • Sleek design
  • Good speakers
Cons
  • Not as colorful as advertised
  • No onboard audio settings

pcmag[2]

Reviewer score 98% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The ViewSonic Elite XG270 is the first 240Hz monitor to pass through Blur Buster's PureXP tuning program. It's the first and only monitor that can safely claim that it's ahead of the curve in the battle against motion blur. At a reading of 413.8 peak nits in HDR mode, the brightness levels fell squarely within the expectations set by its HDR 10 spec.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Excellent contrast ratio
  • Fast response time
  • G-Sync certification
Cons
  • Motion blur could be better
