Product Overview

AOC 27G2 is a mainstream 27-inch FHD gaming monitor in AOC's 2020 lineup. It is powered by a basic 8-bit IPS panel.
The included stand comes with tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments that make for a more ergonomic viewing experience. With a fast 1 ms response time, this display is a good gaming option. Additionally, this monitor can get quite contrasty. It also comes with build-in speakers that make media consumption in a pinch an effortless experience.
In terms of drawbacks, this monitor lacks HDR support and is not very bright. Further, the 8-bit panel is rather limiting in terms of color reproduction.

The AOC 27G2 may have a modest feature set, but it hardly compromises on performance. It boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, which help it deliver a smoother gaming experience. For a monitor in its price range, we're surprised at how clean, crisp and vibrant the image quality is. However, there's not a lot of features and dynamic viewing angles could be better.
