External Reviews

rtings[1]

Reviewer score 69% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Acer Nitro XV272U has a large high-resolution screen that lets you see the fine details of your work. It has a high resolution to deliver sharp images, and its large screen feels immersive. It also has wide viewing angles that make it easier to share your screen with others. Sadly, it's not the best choice for dark room viewing because it has a low contrast ratio that makes blacks look gray.
Pros
  • Large high-resolution screen
  • Excellent ergonomics
  • Wide viewing angles
  • Great peak brightness in SDR with excellent tone mapping
  • High refresh rate with excellent sRGB and excellent Adobe RGB coverage
Cons
  • Low contrast ratio
  • No local dimming

Reviewers from tomshardware have found:
Acer's XV272U-KV KVbmiiprzx can't be calibrated but offers excellent quality. Gaming was certainly the pleasure we've come to expect from Acer Nitro monitors. Tomb Raider clearly benefits from the extra color, even though it's technically an sRGB title.
Pros
  • Very good HDR performance
  • High framerates
  • Comfortable keyboard
Cons
  • No adaptive backlight strobe
  • Limited color gamut
