Product Overview

Apple Pro Display XDR is an ultra-premium 32-inch professional 6K monitor designed for the most demanding and affluent content creators. It is powered by a 10-bit IPS panel.
Notably, this monitor supports full-array LED local-dimming. The 216 ppi pixel density makes both texts and pictures exceptionally sharp. The Pro Stand comes with tilt, pivot, and height adjustments that make for a more ergonomic viewing experience: It is, however, an optional extra at the cost of another non-Apple monitor.
Those that wish their professional monitor to be a little more exclusive can opt for the "Nano-texture" glass finish that further reduces glare and enhances color reproduction.

Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
The 6K resolution is both a blessing and a curse. There are no hardware controls, either, and I really, really miss them. You can't disable the Pro Display and use only the internal display, or vice versa. An extra, official stand for the XDR costs $1,000.
Pros
  • 6K resolution (6,016x3,384 pixels)
  • Very quiet
  • Very good build quality
Cons
  • No hardware controls
  • No 4K HDR support

Reviewer score 93% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The Pro Display XDR is as color-accurate as they come. The 6K resolution is the perfect size for 4K content creators. Even if you want to use your own VESA-compatible stand, you won't have the option unless you spend $200.
Pros
  • Color-accurate 6K resolution
  • Excellent build quality
  • Built-in VESA mount
Cons
  • Pricey for what you get

theverge[3]

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from theverge have found:
The Pro Display XDR offers a vastly higher resolution and far deeper blacks than almost any other monitor you might test it against. In terms of backlight performance, it's basically what I expected. I was absolutely not expecting issues with off-axis viewing. Most people are happy with the LCDs they have, and this display is brighter and sharper than those screens.
Pros
  • Excellent brightness and sharpness
  • Sharpness and contrast
  • HDR support
Cons
  • Off-axis luminance fall-off
  • No HDR support
