Product Overview

Nikon NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 is an affordable wide-angle full-frame prime lens designed for the Z-mount mirrorless system. Coming in a lightweight and compact package, this lens targets enthusiasts and is ideal for general photography.
While the first lenses introduced by Nikon for its new Z system had been professional-grade units, newer models start to target a more price-sensitive segment. The Z 28mm f/2.8, thanks to its popular 28mm focal length, has the potential to be an attractive option to new adopters of Nikon's mirrorless cameras.

cameralabs[1]

Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cameralabs have found:
The Nikon Z 28mm f2.8 SE is the smallest, lightest, and cheapest way to put a mild wide-angle full-frame autofocus prime lens on your Nikon Z camera. The lens focuses in around 0.3 sec on a Nikon Z7 from infinity to 0.18m (1:10 magnification), which is very fast. The focus ring is 11mm wide on the SE version of the lens. Focus accuracy and repeatability is critical to consistently produce sharp shots.
Pros
  • Sharpness and repeatability
  • Fast autofocus
Cons
  • Slow f2.8 focal ratio
  • No lens hood or lens hood
