Product Overview

HP S430c is a premium 43.4-inch 1800R-curved ultra-wide monitor. It boasts a rare dual-WUXGA (3840x1200) resolution, which equals exactly two WUXGA monitors side-by-side. Optimized for productivity tasks and general computing, the S430c nonetheless lacks some sought-after features.
At the front is an 8-bit VA panel with good, though not great, color reproduction, though HP has opted to omit built-in speakers. There is, however, a pop-up webcam, which, though useful, is a peculiar choice when the monitor lacks speakers: one would think the former to be less useful without the latter.
What is included is a strong built-in USB-C hub with support for up to 65W power delivery.

laptopmag[1]

Reviewer score 89% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The S430c did a great job in our lab testing, and just about hit all the metrics HP advertises. The curved panel is also bright and colorful, so I felt like I had my own personal movie theater at my desk. The internal camera's color accuracy was good but there was more visual noise than I was hoping.
Pros
  • Gorgeous 43-inch, 4K panel
  • Excellent color accuracy
  • Excellent dual-system setup
Cons
  • No USB-C port
  • No IR camera

techradar[2]

Reviewer score 46% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from techradar have found:
The HP S430c has a 43-inch ultrawide panel with a native resolution of 3,840 by 1,200 pixels. The panel type is VA and it's a conventional SDR rather than HDR display, with peak brightness of 350 nits. It's a middling quality VA panel with OK colors, decent contrast and unimpressive pixel response. The novel aspect is HP's Device Bridge software. It allows you to use a single keyboard and mouse with both devices.
Pros
  • Large, ultrawide panel
  • Windows Hello support
  • Dual USB-C ports
Cons
  • Mediocre image quality
  • No speakers
