Product Overview

Samsung C49RG90 is a flagship 49-inch Dual QHD (DQHD), 1800R-curved ultra-wide gaming monitor from 2019. It features a 32:9 aspect ratio that equals two standard QHD monitors side-by-side. With a color-rich and rather quick panel, the C49RG90 gives gamers a particularly immersive visual experience.
The C49RG90 uses a 10-bit VA panel with the best backlighting available in any Samsung monitor at its launch: The monitor delivers 600nits of brightness, 3000:1 contrast ratio, and wide color gamut (95% DCI-P3, 125% sRGB). Speed-wise, it delivers 120Hz refresh rate and 4ms (Gray-to-Gray) response time.
The C49RG90 is joined in 2020 by the Odyssey G9 C49G95T and in 2021 the Odyssey Neo G9 S49AG95. The newer models feature a more aggressive curvature, among other improvements.

Reviewer score 78% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
The Samsung CRG90 is a stunning screen with few flaws, but it’s expensive and not suitable for everyone. It has tremendous screen quality, with superb colours, great contrast and an HDR implementation that actually works. The punchy, vibrant images are joined by AMD FreeSync and solid physical design that delivers good adjustment and an effective OSD. The Asus has poorer uniformity, disappointing HDR and a lower resolution alongside slightly inferior colour. The huge resolution and 120Hz FreeSync rate mean you’ll need a powerful graphics card to run games effectively.
    Pros
    • Gorgeous 120Hz panel
    • Excellent image quality
    • Solid build quality
    Cons
    • Not suitable for everyone
    • Poor uniformity
